Hi Bloggers, Remember Me ... Very Long Time No Post!!!

Seeing my last post was back in December last year, I should fill you all in on what I have been doing ...

I had a very slow start to the beginning of the year where my scrapping virtually went out the window. I thought that my mojo had completely vanished and it got to the stage where if I did scrap, it was a bit of a "chore".

Then March came and it suddenly came back to me and my creativity was given a very short, sharp kick up the behind and since then I have been slowly getting back into my scrapping.

Last month was an "O for Awesome" month for two reasons. The first one being that Taylah, Christopher and David came to Gundagai for a visit. The second was because Jan and I packed up our kits and headed over the Tasman Sea to the "Land of the Long White Cloud", where we had an absolutely fabulous time touring around the north island. We finished our little escapade with a Luxury Weekend Scrapbooking Retreat at Lake Taupo ... stay tuned for NZ and WA layouts later during the year.

Now for some layouts ...

The following are just some of the layouts I have completed over the past couple of months for different challenges. Also making an appearance is some of the layouts from the NZ Retreat.

Chookscraps:
Chookscraps (http://www.chookscraps.com.au/) have a competition going at the moment called Masterchook 2010, which is based on the Masterchef series. So far, I have completed 4 rounds and these are some of the layouts that I have done:

Whilst away in NZ, Chookscraps also had their cybercrop. Here are the completed layouts for this:

(Challenge 1)

(Challenge 2)

(Challenge 3)

Chookscraps have just posted their monthly challenges for May. Here is the first layout that I have completed. It is the sketch challenge, designed by yours truly!

Scrapping Outback
Scrapping Outback (http://www.scrappingoutback.com.au/) have come up with a new challenge called "Challenge You". A kit is made up and then you get to scrap to your heart's content as many layouts as you can. Here are just some of the layouts I have made using the April/May kit (warning: Sunglasses may be required as the patterned papers are VERY BRIGHT)!!

Autumn Escape: Your Luxury Scrapbooking Retreat
Before I go any further, I would just like to say .... "WOW"!! Jan and I were both blown away with this retreat. There were 120 scrappers, loads of yummy goodies, absolutely fabulous classes, fantastic food and just so much fun to be had. I would love to give big thanks to all the organisers, the sponsors and tutors who ran the most amazing classes and all round tops weekend!! If you would like to know more, here is a link to the Autumn Escape blog:

Anyway onto the scrapping ....

Like I said, there were lots and lots of activities to keep us occupied over the weekend. Most of the time was spent in classes. When we weren't there, we were either in the main scraproom or eating!! The first layout is from the "Pages Like That" class that were run by the very talented Nic Howard.

This layout was a class taught by the amazing Rachel Tucker. She is the layering queen!!

The next layout is a double layout that was taught by the fabulous Kelly Goree. I must admit that I am not a huge fan of the double layout but she made it soooo easy to get the balance right with her helpful and handy hints:

The next three layouts were completed in two hours (can you believe it!!) and again were taught by Kelly:

At the moment, I am loving scrapping with the Basic Grey June Bug range. I have completed a few layouts using the range, including the two below. The first one is a bit of scraplift (I am really sorry but I forgot to write down who did the original). The second was a step by step from the Basic Grey Newsletter (can't tell you which month but if you click on the link below, I am sure you will be able to find it!):

Anyway, that just about sums it up for this post. I am going to try and update my blog on a more regular basis (really I will try!). So until next time, happy scrapping!
