Almost the End of the Holidays ....

I can't believe how quickly time flies when you are having fun. It is almost the end of my holidays and the beginning of a 11 week term!! There is a reward at the end ... Scrap Girls Retreat!!! Definately looking forward to that.
Next weekend, Heirloom Scraps have their Retreat at Tumut, which I will be attending. It is always good to catch up with Kylie, Kim, Jan and the others that I have not seen for a while. My little scrap kits are just about packed and ready to go (I'm not keen or anything am I!!!).
Scrapping Outback (http://www.scrappingoutback.com.au/) continue their Chipboard Highschool. This week, it was all about Bling - Bling Chipboard Titles and Bling Flourishes. I decided to do a wedding layout for this challenge and found this picture of Sam and I (the album is nearly finished).

Chookscraps have a surprise challenge this weekend. It is a little challenge by our Creative Chook Jan. The challenge was to use patterned papers that are 2 years old, some metal and a button that was not round. Here is my Layout:

I have added a little slideshow, which shows some of the layouts that I have completed. I have gone a bit "dog crazy" these holidays and have scrapped the dogs. As one person said, they are the most scrapped dogs in Oz!!

Highschool has started and I am loving it!!!

I know that I said school was out, but I have gone back to school ... Chipboard High School!!! Scrapping Outback (http://www.scrappingoutback.com.au/) are running a set of classes over the next few weeks in which we get to experiment with different techniques for decorating chipboard. Here are just a few examples of what we have been learning over the last couple of weeks.

Lesson 1 - Halographic Titles: Here are the layouts that I completed for this lesson:

Lesson 2 - All Things Sheer: This time it was tracing outlines on pieces of chipboard, then covering it in vellum and adding glitter.

Lesson 3 - Doodled Titles: This has been my favourite technique so far. It is doodling on chipboard and having fun experimenting with different patterns!

Stay tuned for more fantastic samples ...

School is Out!!!

School has finished for the term and this gives me more time for scrapping (and updating my blog)! I have started by completing some layouts using the Chookscraps monthly packs.

The first layout is of Poppy (I am on a bit of a doggy theme this month). I have used the April scrap pack, which has some Black Market patterned papers in it. I love this photo of Poppy because she has her tongue hanging out one side and the Kong out the other.

This layout is of Taylah mucking around at Nanny's house. I have used the March scrap pack, which has Webster's Pages patterned paper and some gorgeous embellishments (including the bird).

Stay tuned for some more layouts ... I plan to scrap up a storm these school holidays!

It's All About the Dogs!!!

This month, the very talented and Creative Chook, Jan, set some awesome challenges on Chookscraps. Being in a huge scrapping mood and with such great challenges, I busily set about scrapping some of my dog photos that have been on my computer for a while, but somehow got pushed to the "will get to them eventually" pile.

Challenge 1 is my Mini Layout. I just love this photo of Mini. It is soooo her, always looking for attention and this day was no exception.

Challenge 2 - is my Those Eyes Layout. This called for masculine photo using feminine embellishments. I went OTP on the girly bits and scrapped Max.

Challenge 3 called for distressing. This is my favourite LO that I completed all weekend. Check out the tongue!

Challenge 4 was all about pastel colours. Almost human showcases my TV addicted dog ... Mini. This time she was sprung watching the TV under the coffee table in the lounge room.

Long Time, No Post!!

I have been a bit slack lately and will be updating this during the holidays. In the mean time, here is a little glimpse at a Layout that I have recently completed for Scrapping Outback. They have a great 4 products challenge, where you are given a pack with 4 products in it and you are only allowed to use those products only! This month's pack had 1 piece of pp (Artic Frog), 2 pieces of cardstock, 3 buttons and Scenic Route chipboard circles.
